OrganizationThe NACC Midwest Chicago chapter is a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation. Membership is open to all people with personal or business connections to Norway. This chapter covers Chicago and the Midwest region.
PurposeThe purposes of the NACC Midwest-Chicago chapter is to promote trade and goodwill and to foster business, financial and professional interests between Norway and the United States of America, to advance the common purposes of its members and to facilitate contacts among its members.
HistoryThe Midwest-Chicago Chapter of NACC was incorporated on December 18, 1992, but it was first formed in October, 1959. It is one of soon to be 10 local chambers in the United States, cooperating under the umbrella of NACC-NY. Together the chambers form a nationwide Norwegian American business network which has served as a forum for Norwegian American business people for over 85 years. The Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce was founded in New York on September 13th, 1915.
ActivitiesThe NACC is committed to providing meaningful programs, events and activities to promote trade between Norway and the United States. It also aims to serve as a business conduit and networking organization for and among its members. NACC is a regular co-sponsor of trade missions, seminars and cultural events.
NetworkingThe NACC Midwest-Chicago chapter offers opportunities to meet other members and companies who share your goals and interest at monthly meetings, seminars and several popular social events during the year. As a member, you will also receive the NACC Annual Membership Directory where you may list and promote your business, the NACC newsletter and access to trade and business information and resources.
